If you live or camp in an RV during the hot summer months, you know how hard it is to keep your coach cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter. This is especially true if you are using propane to heat your coach in the Winter. Propane can get very expensive over time and you have to keep filling the cylinders. This unit that we are reviewing using less energy than the units that are included with the RV. It can save you on what it costs to heat and cool your RV. The unit is easy to set up and does not take up a lot of space. It is portable and you can move it from room to room if you want. We tested this unit during a severe cold snap and kept the RV toasty warm. The unit has 2 extra-large filters that can be cleaned as needed. The portable unit also comes with a handy remote so you set your temperature from the comfort of your easy chair.
Now, this is not the only unit on the market and there are many others available that can do the same thing. With all the different settings, you can set it to use sleep mode, you can use the 24-hour timer plus a host of other useful features. In addition, you can also use it to supplement your current system during times of extreme heat and cold.
Another great feature about this AC is the hose that is used to ventilate the system. Many of these units come with a very cheesy hose that can easily fall apart or break. The one that is featured in the video (New Air) has a very sturdy hose that in my opinion is almost indestructible. It will come with a full kit that allows you to use it in almost any window.
You can see that this can be a great addition to your RV arsenal of must-haves. Even if you use your main AC/Heater, they can fail. If this happens during a heatwave or a severe cold snap it can put you in a world of trouble if you are camping far away from home. Having one of these on standby can save the day until you have the AC repaired.
